The Aliens Act s.5 requires an alien to obtain the leave of an immigration officer to land and s.6(h) makes possession of a visa a condition of that leave unless an exemption under s.17 applies, creating the obligation the PICA list administers; the parallel Immigration Restriction (Commonwealth Citizens) Act s.8(1) and s.35(2) govern Commonwealth citizens, and the PICA list states each nationality's treatment under both branches.

The row's column is 'ENTRY VISA Foreigners arriving in Jamaica'; Spain's entry in it reads 'NONE – 90 days' with the 'Effective July 26, 2018 for tourism/cultural exchanges/business' continuation beneath, so a Spanish ordinary passport holder needs no visa arranged in advance and may stay up to 90 days. The listing states it was last updated 13 March 2025, which supersedes the 30 days the PICA web page still shows for Spain.
