The Pitcairn Islands Immigration Policy is the certified immigration policy made under s 2A of the Immigration Control Ordinance 2006 (inserted by the Immigration Control Amendment Ordinance 2026, in force 28 April 2026). It is subordinate legislation that imposes the visa classes, eligibility criteria and durations for entry to Pitcairn — it does not merely describe rules created elsewhere — and it is the document the answer rows quote from.
Section 9.1 defines the short-term visitor visa as a stay of 14 days or less with departure on the same vessel, 9.2 says an immigration officer decides the visa at the border (so nothing needs to be arranged in advance), and 9.3 fixes the stay at 14 days.

The applicant must genuinely intend a temporary stay on Pitcairn for a lawful purpose.
The applicant must meet the character, health, travel and medical insurance, and financial capacity requirements in sections 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the Policy, unless waived by the Governor.
The Governor, after consultation with the Island Council, must consider that the grant of a long-term visitor visa to the applicant is in the public interest.
The holder must not engage in any work or business activity on the Island unless granted a work permit in accordance with s 9(1)(d) of the Immigration Control Ordinance 2006.
