Aevamo’s reading

The Jersey Immigration Rules are laid down by the Minister for Home Affairs under the Immigration Acts as extended to Jersey by the Immigration (Jersey) Order 1993; they create the obligation to obtain entry clearance (a visa) before arrival for visa nationals and an ETA for ETA nationals. The UK appendices are incorporated by reference and supply the nationality lists; they describe who the Jersey rule reaches, they do not create the Jersey obligation.

The ETA appendix makes holding a valid ETA a condition of travel to Jersey from 23 April 2026; ETA 1.3 limits it to nationals on the UK ETA National List, which the Jersey appendix incorporates by reference; ETA 4.2 sets the visitor stay at up to 6 months per visit.

Work and residence rights are separate from this check. This is the entry rule and the length of stay the instrument grants. It is not a decision about you: the officer at the border decides admission, and we do not evaluate the purpose of your trip, your passport's remaining validity, an onward ticket, funds, insurance or health requirements.
