The Immigration Act Cap 14:02, through section 5 and the Immigration (Passports) Order made under it, imposes the requirement that a foreign national's passport bear a Guyanese visa before it is accepted for entry; section 12(1) then fixes the maximum stay an immigration officer may grant. This Act creates the obligation rather than reporting one created elsewhere.
Section 12(1)(b) grants a national of a country in Schedule I Part B a permit to enter and remain for six months, and Schedule I Part B lists these twelve CARICOM countries.
